Mrs. Nurse Coffey

Before joining JISD, I am proud to say I was a student in JISD. I am a graduate of Karen Wagner High School. Shortly after high school I decided to become a part of one of the greatest forces in the world. The United States Army. During my 9 years of service, I was granted the opportunity to travel the world, protect my country, and service my brothers and sisters in arms as an Oral Maxillofacial surgery technician. I decided to chase my dream of becoming a nurse. During the pandemic I completed and graduated as the first ABSN (Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing) class at the University of Incarnate Word. Over the past 2 years I have worked on multiple different floors within the Baptist Health System this includes postpartum, L & D, I.C.U, and as a clinical manager for a predominant OBGYN clinic.  

I am excited and proud to be back where it all started. I look forward to bringing my hands on experience, love for children, and my passion for wellbeing and health together under one roof. To do what nobody else will do, in a way that nobody else can, in spite of all we go through; is to be a nurse.
